Richmond Speed Skating Oval

PFS has played a key role on the multi-disciplinary team charged with the design of the speed skating facility in Richmond. The open spaces around the Oval will be a legacy public amenity serving one of the largest recreation facilities in Canada. The three major open spaces are the Riverside Green, which acts as an amphitheatre space facing the Fraser River; the Water Sky Garden, which includes integrated public art and boardwalks that hover over a stormwater detention pond; and the Legacy Plaza, which will function as an urban 'town square' for the neighbourhood that will emerge around the Oval.
